Project objectives

A variety of objectives is aimed through the implementation of the program as following:

  • Develop an international loose network of volunteers, active in the field of solidarity and social inclusion with migrants and refugees.
  • Increase the number of active volunteers in the field concerned.
  • Strengthen the knowledge of volunteers on EU migration policies and on the situation in border countries.
  • Exchange best practices of volunteering developed at grassroot levels by citizens.
  • Analyze the new forms of active citizenship collecting opinions from the protagonists in the field of migration.
  • Build a counter-narrative on refugees and migrants by giving visibility to the stories and the concrete solidarity initiatives developed by the European citizens.
  • Debate the EU migration policies developing messages to deliver to the EU decision makers.

Target group

Active volunteers and citizens in the countries of the consortium (Spain, Italy, Greece, and Croatia).

 

Project activities

Ιnternational meetings in the partners’ countries and web-actions will be implemented throughout the project which will invite activists and volunteers to participate and share their experience of working with migrants and refugees. In parallel, a web-doc will be produced that will follow the routes of migration and solidarity in Europe.
