ERASMUS +: MED-looking Youth Shaping EU Policy for a “Ready Europe”

Project objectives

The wider objective of the project is to engage the participant countries (Italy, Spain, Greece) in the anti-discrimination practices and migrants inclusion issues trying to develop and promote concrete and participatory approaches to “migration crisis”, a major EU problem, along with the “integration vs inclusion” challenges at the local, national and transnational levels.

On the ground of promoting citizenship and the common values of freedom, tolerance, non-discrimination through education, the project promotes the direct involvement and participation of young people in the policy shaping through a coherent structured dialogue process to ensure the effectiveness and comprehensive approach needed for making the most of the ideas and energies of future generations of European citizens.

 

Target group

Young people between 13 and 30 years old, residents of the countries involved in the project (Spain, Italy, and Greece).

 

Project activities

“Structured Dialogue” activities to empower young people themselves in presenting ideas and proposals and supporting pears to address the challenges of divided society, rise of extremism, prejudice and stigmatization as well as feeling of insecurity among them as a consequence of the economic crisis and increased competition for the access to the labor market. For this purpose there is organized implementation of consultations of young people with a view to find out their opinions and needs on anti-discrimination matters, workshops, interviews and video production, social communication campaign and transnational meetings in Barcelona, Rome and Thessaloniki.
